Remember Nimrat Kaur? Yes, the leading lady we saw in Airlift alongside Akshay Kumar. She can now be seen in a web series called ‘The Test Case’ in the role of a first woman commando. CRB Tech reviews would like to present before you, the excerpts from one of her interviews.
How come you decided to do a web series?
The show has a place in a different space. I am clearly not the target audience for this series. I don’t watch shows on the web. In any case, there is a gigantic group of onlookers for it and we don’t have sufficient web content in our country. We are taking after content from the West. I thought it was very intriguing that we would entice another sort of viewers. The first episode of The Test Case which is directed by Nagesh Kukunoor and produced by ALTBalaji, was aired on April 30.
Apart from the physical training involved, what was the major challenge?
The greatest test was not to act. It is a very thin line to walk. The execution ought to be engaging and simultaneously shun being over the top. From my experience of the armed forces, I realize that their discourse is extremely unaffected. Along these lines, I needed to convey my lines without making it sound like a dialogue. I am as yet holding up to know how the execution has resounded with the viewers.
You are from the army background. Did it lead you to do The Test Case?
I took it up on the grounds that it is the tale of a young lady in a world where no other woman had been prior to her. What’s more, the world happens to be the armed forces. It’s something that in a split second connected with my heart. My character, Shikha Sharma, is the first lady to be a commando in the Indian Army. I for the most part choose roles that I feel associated with. Or, then again, it ought to be something I would be enticed to watch on screen.
Your favorite memories as an army kid?
My most loved memories are of the Raising Day festivities inside armed forces cantonments. So much planning used to go into them. Plays would be set up by the officers and their spouses and children would be placed in a room. When we used to be let out, we would go insane, move and have a ton of fun. Watching my dad in the parade is an important piece of my memory.
This is what the actress had to say in one of her candid talks on the pretext of the web series. Hope you liked this one from CRB Tech reviews.
