First water smartphone invention by Bangalore based guy

Every once in a while, we come across some absurd crowdfunding strategies on various systems. However, most of them usually closed down after some time CRB Tech reviews. This is not about one of those. This information is the one that been successful in what it set out to make.


A Palo Alto-based company, Comet Core, established by Bengaluru boy Prashanth Raj Urs, has developed world’s first sailing smart phone. Yes, this cellphone drifts on standard water, so you don’t be concerned about sportfishing it out of a diving share area or a bathroom sink.

What is amazing about the device is that it is not only water resistant, but it can actually drift on a standard water.

Currently gathering resources on Indiegogo, the Comet is a ‘buoyant’ Android operating system smart phone – but it’s not fixed with any apparent floatation gadgets.

Prashant Raj, in interviews with Inc42, says,

Mobile Technologies have been regularly changing from Pagers – Aerial Cellular phones – Digicam Cellular phones – Cellular phones – Water Proof Cellular phones and now, with comet we aim to present the next step to Water Proof Cellular phones – the confident Cellular phones.

The cellphone activities a 16 Mega-pixel camera and a 4.7-inch display. It also comes built with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 2GHz octa-core processer and a 4GB RAM, and is available in dark, white-colored and silver.

Although this cellphone is still not being made levels, you can guide it for yourself now. Beginning fowl costs for the device begins at $249 (Rs 16,000) for the 32GB edition, and goes up to $289 (Rs 19,000) for the 64GB one.

The device, developed by Bengaluru-based Prashanth Raj Urs, has a 4.7-inch screen and 16 mega-pixel camera. The device comes with a 4GB RAM, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, and 2GHZ octa-core processer and has a 2800 mAh battery.

The cellphone also has a ‘mood recogniser’ that uses fingerprint receptors to identify the user’s body’s temperature and shows colors to suit those emotions.

According to the crowdfunding system Indigogo, more than 82 million mobile phones are broken by standard water every year. Although many other companies have released mobile phones that are waterproof, Comet mobile phones are confident and developed to drift on the standard water.Prashant ran an Indiegogo strategy to crowdfund manufacture of the device and has brought up over $250,000 for the same. Early fowl prices for the cell phone start at $249 for a 32GB device, while a 64GB model is available for $289.
