After back-to-back hit masala films like Chennai Express, Happy New year and Dilwale, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is now eager for his future film, Fan, which is more “niche” and content-driven.
Besides Bollywood potboilers, Khan – known famously by the abbreviation SRK – has served in critically-acclaimed films like Swades and Chakde! India. However, over the past svereal years, he has leaned toward films focused at the public, major to critique from a part of his lovers. It looks like the acting professional wants to modify all that now.
“If you’re looking for unique, then you should look out for Fan,” said SRK (via The Show Tribune). “It’s a different type of film, intended to be a market market… not a smash hit.”
The Bollywood superstar included, “Films are novel in their storytelling, unless you have a absolutely market or offbeat topic, and you take a topic not moved upon”.
Talking about his latest big hit Dilwale, directed by Rohit Shetty (Chennai Express, Golmaal series), SRK described, “Dilwale is an unabashedly well-known professional film. It’s not acting to be something else. It’s intended to be viewed by everyone – it has romantic endeavors, funny, dilemma. I don’t even think that having Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan is a unique aspect as it’s just that we are doing a film together after a long time.”
“Within that scape, if you’re looking for something, then Rohit Shetty has not had much (of) a love-based tale or connection look at his films, as he is more known for activity and funny. That will be unique for Rohit. But if you ask me, generically, no, Dilwale is not reinventing theatre. It’s a fun professional film.”
